?Gulls are like flu shots, you should do them every year whether you
want to or not? is what one local birder (who shall be nameless) said
to me on a gull identification field trip. Not sure if that?s a good
selling point or not.

I?m teaching a gull identification class through Seattle Audubon next
week, ?Winter Gulls of Puget Sound: the adults.? This class will be
two classroom sessions and a field trip, and will be more fun than a
flu shot.

Classes: Tuesdays, January 4 and 11, 7-9 p.m.
Location: Douglas classroom, Center for Urban Horticulture
Field Trip: Saturday and Sunday, January 15 and 16, approximately 8
a.m. until noon.
Instructor will lead field trip both days; participants will sign up
for one of these days at the first class. If there are 12 or fewer in
the class the field trip will be on Saturday only.
Cost: $60 members, $75 non-members
Lecture Only: $30 members, $45 non-members
