Hi Tweeters,

We looked for the Sandhill Crane this morning but did not find it. Many
Trumpeter and a few Tundra Swans are still feeding in the Snohomish valley.
There was a large falcon species perched way out in the field and through
the scope we did NOT see a good helmet. We did see that the tail was a good
bit longer than the wing tips. This is an area where a Gyrfalcon used to be
an annual winter occurrence. But I've not heard it reported for several
years. We've also seen Peregrine Falcon in this area as well in years past.
The distance was too far for a definitive ID.
