There is a male Downy Woodpecker that frequents my suet feeder. Always feeds
from the lower right side.

Both Pileated Woodpeckers use the left side, usually the top left side. They
show up singly at the feeder, once or twice a day.

The male Hairy Woodpecker always uses the left side. I see him usually daily

My newest suet bird is a male Townsend's Warbler. He also always feeds on
the left side. He frequents the feeder several times a day now.

I recognize each of the Barred Owls that arrive nightly at sunset by the
perches they choose, without having to look at the bands. Unlike the Downy
Woodpecker, where the male dominates, the female Barred Owl is dominate over
the male.
