Hi Tweets,

Back in late November or early December I took these pictures at
Constellation Park in West Seattle. The bird was feeding among a group of
Sanderlings at first and then moved over to the rock wall to feed before
flying off. It ran along the sand much like the shore birds and every time
it stopped it bobbed its tail and sometimes while walking (much like the
Spotted Sandpiper does), but obviously wasn't a shorebird.
The closest thing in the book I could find was an American Pipit, but I have
only seen pipits a few times and always while they were flying.
Can anyone tell me if this is indeed an American Pipit and if not what it
might be?
