Subject: [Tweeters] Harris Sparrow in which county?

A few of us just did a bit of research on this. Based on the Snohomish
County PUD website maps, the county line seems to run along the south edge
of the pond. Maybe as much as 10 feet of the pond is south of the line.
Thus the entirety of the dike, including its slope down to the pond, is in
King County.

At least 1 person has seen the Harris's Sparrow fly over the water to the
north side of the pond. There, it was clearly in Snohomish County for a
while.

The county line signs on I-405 seem to be about 10 feet further north than
what the PUD site maps show. Only Google Earth differs, showing the county
line at the south side of the dike. Other sources were a bit ambiguous, but
seemed consistent with the PUD site maps.
