Today my son and I located the resident juvenile red-tailed hawk at what I think is becoming its favorite perch, a floodlight fixture, located south of the Edmonds marsh and below Point Edwards. This perch would correspond with the pile of small bird feathers I saw last month on Point Edwards walkway.

The hawk flew a few circles?alongside the bluff, alternately perching on the light fixture or the top of a nearby evergreen. It eventually worked its way south along the bluff?below the Point Edwards condos.?I got some photos of it flying virtually level with some of the balconies and windows.?? Imagine looking out and seeing it pass by.

It perched on the top of small fir on the bluff, then flew a little farther south to the same tree the eagles were using last week. I last saw it as it continued south among the trees.??? I hope it contiues this pattern so?I can take photos?of it from the Point Edwards public walkway.
