Tweets,

A heads up. Hal Opperman and I have been planning a 10-year follow up study
of select King County quads (that is, quarter townships of 9 sections). Hal
selected a not-really-very-random sample of 46 quads from the 270-odd quads
in the county by selecting one from every consecutive six in our numbering
system. Check out the result of the four-county BBA (King, Kittitas, Kitsap,
and Island) completed in 2000 on the website "Sound to Sage" linked to the
Seattle Audubon site. I will be organizing a planning meeting of interested
participants in late March (on my return from Australia) so that we can put
together teams to survey each of these quads during the coming breeding
season to assess notable changes and continuities.

If you are interested, stay tuned. It's lots of fun.
