I first watched a BALD EAGLE many years ago at Ninilchik, Kenai Peninsula,
Alaska fly against a fairly thick, dry branch, grab it with its talons and
break it off, It flew off with it, Since then, I have also seen OSPREYS do
the same thing here in the Puget Sound Region.
