Hi Hans and Tweets
Last Saturday we had good numbers of Long-tailed Ducks in Sequim Bay north of John Wayne Marina. Yesterday, there were several seen from the old DNR access site at the end of Wharf Road on Samish Island - they were quite far out, but we had good light and they were well seen thru a spotting scope.

Subject: [Tweeters] RFI - Long-Tailed Ducks
Tweeters,
Has anybody seen any LONG-TAILED DUCKS recently? I dipped on it at Samish Island last week. I believe there were some sightings this winter in West Seattle and at the grain elevator at Helix Bridge. Any sightings on the coast - maybe Ocean Shores or Westport? There was a female at the Hoquiam Sewage Ponds not to long ago. I prefer not to drive up to Birch Bay for the next couple of weeks! Any information will be greatly appreciated!
Thank you!
