There is an interesting article in the new March "Discover" Magazine entitled "Who Are You Calling Bird Brain". The blurb for the article says, "The amazing mental capacities of Ravens, Jays, and crows are forcing scientists to reevaluate their ideas about the evolution of intelligence." One of the birds used in this research has been the scrub jay.
