Subject: [Tweeters] Montlake Fill Peregrine Falcon (banded) and

Today (11 FEB) I observered a peregrine falcon at the Montlake Fill. It was perched on the snag by the lake, and then flew off to the north. It had bands on both legs. On the right leg, it had a silver/gray band, and on the right leg a black band with A48 visible on it through the scope (Thanks for the looks, Bill). The "A" was above the "48", but the complete band may not have been visible as the bird was perched. I couldn't make out any features of the silver/gray band on the right leg. Also, I saw a sharp-shinned hawk perched in a tree near Shoveler's Pond. A photo can be seen here:

No luck with the common teal today.
