On Thursday as I drove next to Lake Tye in Monroe there was an eagle
stooping on a duck. There was nobody behind me so I slowed almost to a stop
to watch the action. There were 2 ducks and both of them flew out of the
water heading inland towards me. The Eagle was in pursuit and a small group
of gulls were also swirling around the action yelling loudly, I assume
cheering the duck and or jeering the eagle. The whole show passed directly
over my car and there was a huge splat as a very large white deposit hit my
drivers side window and mirror and door. The eagle broke off the engagement
and headed back over the lake, and cars were coming up behind me so I had to
move out of the road. Yesterdays rain washed it all off but for a day I had
a nice souvenir to remind me of the wildness just a few blocks from my
school
