Hey Tweets,

I've been strolling the pipeline trails south of Phillip Arnold park in Renton every couple of weeks or so, expecting to see some California Quail. Had some heard, but not seen yesterday. Someone asked me if I was looking at deer in the binocs, and we talked about the quail, which he has seen (about a dozen, quite often crossing the road). He believes, however, that there may have been more around if it weren't for a bobcat that he has also seen on the trails!

This has been a fairly productive area, where I've found Golden-crowned, Fox and Song Sparrows, juncos, towhees, Bewick's and Winter wren, Flickers, House and Goldfinch, Red Crossbill, Pine Siskins, Steller's Jays, and Anna's Hummingbirds. In the spring, some Osprey set up shop, and it has also been good for Willow Flycatcher.

Today on 287th off of the West Valley Highway (Auburn), had a Northern Harrier, and two Common Ravens which have been present both times I have visited the area this year.

By the way, does anyone know where all of the Killdeer have gone? :)?
