Yesterday?was clear and windy. The eagles and seagulls both enjoyed riding the updrafts. I took eagle photos from my usual locations plus a new location on the corner of Edmonds St. and Sunset Ave. It was virtually impossible to take a bad eagle photo all day.

A flock of Dunlin were swarming off the breakwater directly opposite the fishing pier.?The winds created crashing waves, which provided an interesting backdrop as well as giving the Dunlin an occasional salt water shower as they rested between swarming flights.?? There is something about the Dunlin's coloration which creates interesting visual effects on a backlit, sunny day.?
