Tweeters,

Sidra Blake and I kayaked Mud Lake near Ridgefield, WA today. It was pretty choppy on the water but we saw good numbers of waterfowl on the northern part of lake. The highlight was a stunning drake Eurasian Wigeon in a large flock of American Wigeon.

Highlights were as follows:

Pied-billed Grebe - 6
Double-crested Cormorant - 4
Tundra Swan - ~40
American Wigeon - ~60
EURASIAN WIGEON - 1 drake
Bald Eagle - 3
Red-tailed Hawk - 1
Belted Kingfisher - 2 females
Lots of Song Sparrows and Red-breasted Nuthatches around the edge of the lake.

Cheers,

Tyler
