Due to high demand we have added an additional Owling program tonight at
Camp Long in West Seattle.
This is the time of year when could potentially observe courtship and
additional vocalizations beyond the Who-cooks-for-you and the Whooah
calls of the Barred Owls there.

The program is from 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm
We will learn about our local owls and owl conservation issues and see
Camp Long's Live-mount stuffed owls. Then we will take a walk listening
for, learning about and hooting for owls. Hopefully we will find an owl
or 2. Barred Owls are the only likely species at this time. We should
find some bones left over from older owl pellets and hopefully some
white-wash and maybe a fresh pellet or 2. We can dissect a pellet or 2
if people want to and try to figure out what it ate and which bones we
see. We will also most likely find a couple of Salamanders of one or
more of our 4 local resident species in the pond and in the woods.

We will meet in front of the Lodge Bldg at 5200 35th Av SW (at SW Dawson
St) at 6:30 pm (I'll be there about 15 minutes earlier)
