I forgot to include the location of the Bewick's Wren in the trip report I posted last night.?



The singing male Bewick's Wren was located on the lower part of Central Ferry Canyon Road.? As you are driving downhill on that road, just before a side road branches off to the left, on your right is a draw with some trees and brush.? There is a large and ?obvious (at least while the leaves are off the trees) Great Horned Owl nest in?a tree at the upper end of the draw vegetation.? In the sage downhill from that owl nest (50 to 100 yards) the bird was singing very loudly and continuously.? Both times when we drove by that location, we thought we heard a second bird, but some reasonably thorough searching produced only the one.? The bird is easy to see from the road, and there is plenty of room to pull off there.
