Hello, this is the Audubon Society of Portland Rare Bird Report. This report
was made Thursday February 15. If you have anything to add call Harry Nehls
at 503-233-3976.

A female DICKCISSEL is now being seen in Nehalem Meadows. It can be found in
the area of the black mailbox at 14850 Tideland Road. The elusive
YELLOW-BELLIED SAPSUCKER is still seen occasionally at the EE Wilson SWA.

The spring migration is becoming more obvious. RUFOUS HUMMINGBIRDS are
increasing along the south coast with one south of Florence February 19.
SAY?S PHOEBES are being reported from both sides of the Cascades. SANDHILL
CRANES are still moving over the Willamette Valley.

TREE SWALLOWS are now becoming more regular. On February 20 one was at
Hatfield Lake near Bend. A few VIOLET-GREEN SWALLOWS are now being seen in
the Tree Swallow flocks. On February 20 at least two BARN SWALLOWS were in
the flocks at Lower Klamath NWR.

On February 20 a WANDERING TATTLER was at Yachats. A gray phased GYRFALCON
was seen February 20 in the Tule Lake NWR in the Klamath Basin.

That?s it for this week.
