Tweets,
Saturday I spent 4 hours checking sites from Tenino to Rochester to
Centralia. Highlights:
- C. Yellowthroat (male) E of Centralia steam plant, in brambles at the
entrance to the largest (and lowest) pond
- Six Eur. Collared Doves, previously reported, across Hwy 12 from the
Briercrest(?) Farms grain silos E of Rochester (via I-5 exit 88)
- Approx 400 Dunlin and 100 Black-bellied Plover at the Goodrich Rd pond
(via Hwy 99 between Grand Mound and Centralia)
- Good numbers of Mourning Doves, Kestrels, and N Flickers at several
locations
- Waterfowl numbers seemed relatively low
Good birding!
