Paul, Tweeters,

Has anybody mentioned West Seattle? I have never failed to find Harlequin
Ducks coming past Alki, around the lighthouse heading south. The first
straight stretch had at least eight ( 4m/4f) diving in rather choppy water
with a nasty cold wind. There also were at least four more viewed from the
little park just south of the apartments/condos jutting out on pilings. This
was yesterday, January 2nd.
There also was an extremely small crow hunkered down in the wind on the rail
south of the lighthouse. It was almost half the size of my backyard American
Crows. Now to me it would be a likely Northwestern!

Happy New Year and Good Birding to All!
