It is always interesting to me to see the diversity of birds that come to
our patio - feeders and seed. This Jan 1 there were 16 species. These
included two woodpeckers (Downy & Flicker), 3 sparrows (Song, Fox and
Golden-crowned), 2 warblers (Yellow-rumped & Townsend's), 2 corvids (Am
crow, Steller's Jay), flocks of DE Juncos, House Finches, Bushtits. Also
RB Nuthatch, Robin, Sp Towhee, and I was pleased to see our resident Calif
Quail had not been eaten by our resident coyote.
