I am not the birder that can even get into the top of the middle, I am
lucky to have a pair right now. The problem of a dad with a wife that
does not bird.

I have currently a compact 8x and 10x and a shooters scope from a garage
sale years ago, and they serve me well. but I am looking for a better
mid size binoculars that will be my go to glasses, and I am not only
confused by 6x, 7x and 8x. and by the quality that I will get if I spend
$100 or $200 much more is out of the question. if it were me alone I
would spend $1500 on a credit card.

Thoughts and comments would be appreciated.
