Subject: [Tweeters] Black-billed Magpie in King Co. at W. Seattle Alki area
Date: Jan 8 14:51:50 2010
From: Grace and Ollie Oliver - grace.ollie at verizon.net

Notice of this bird has been posted to tweeters; but an alert had not been
sent out that I saw. Hopefully I am not being redundant with the alert
posting. I believe a rare occurrence of this E. WA species would be good to
have documented on the tweeters-alerts mail group.

About 1:55pm today Greg Thompson and Marv Breece had the Magpie fly from the
south in front of them along Alki Ave. at about 63rd Ave (across from cactus
restaurant). The magpie went to the roof of 2816 62nd Ave. which is a large
apt like structure with a flat roof and multiple chimney's. The magpie is
difficult to see unless it is near the edge of the roof or perched on a
chimney which is kindly did for a few minutes so that Ollie and I could see
it.
