It does appear to be an early spring.

Here on Soos Creek east of Auburn, WA. (just up from the fish hatchery), we
are in the midst of an early spring too.

Many bugs on the glass door at night, including mosquitoes. Buds on the
lilac bush, none open yet.

The Red Wings BB's have begun to sing and I heard cooing from a Mourning
Dove this AM. The doves stay here all winter.

LOTS of Juncos this winter. No Pine Siskins were seen at all. I have seen
as many as 4 Towhees at once below the feeders.

Two days ago I saw two immature Bald Eagles in a tree above the creek,
probably siblings from last years brood.

We had 3 Anna's Hummingbirds before the freeze. I have only seen one male
at the feeder since. I guess they all didn't make it.
