Someone mentioned the difference between the official? calendar starts of winter and spring and when it?seems like these seasons really start.? I have often described the four seasons in the?Puget Sound area in the following manner.

autumn = Labor Day through Thanksgiving
holiday season?= Thanksgiving through New Years Day
rainy?season = New Years Day?through Junuary
summer = four randomly spaced days between Junuary?and Labor Day
