Hey Tweets,
I birded along Float 20 at the Westport marina this morning from 8:30 to 10 am. I located a 1st cycle GLAUCOUS GULL among the good number of gulls present around the marina.
I have posted 4 pics here http://www.pbase.com/hoodedcrow/glaucous
Among the Glaucous-winged / Western / hybrid masses I also found a few Herring, Thayer's, and Mew Gulls.
Another interesting siting along the float - a pair of HARLEQUIN DUCKS.
Shorebirds included ~20 Rock Sandpipers, ~10 Surfbirds, ~15 Black Turnstones, and 2 Least Sandpipers.
I'll have some more pics up this weekend here - http://www.pbase.com/hoodedcrow/newstuff
Good Birding,
Matt Pike
