Hi, Tweets! Today R. Hendrick and I met Victor Glick and Libby Shriner for
some birding. At Pateros, Wash., Ok. County they found a Pacific Loon, as
well as many C. Loons. We were able to park just below the Pateros bridge
(the driveway says Carlson) and walk across the highway to set up scopes.
Both loons were seen quite close together, then the Pacific moved even
closer to us. They were seen in both counties.

Later, going up Bridgeport Hill Rd. (Doug. co.) we met birders from
Kittitas, as well as Doug Schoenwald. The Kittitas group had seen a Snowy
Owl about 10 min. before. So, up to 16th and we started scanning.
Instead of finding one bird on the east side of the road, we found 2 on
the west side, quite a ways out. After looking at them for several min.
we drove on to 15th and while we were looking first one, than the other
took off flying. The first bird came right over us, and was gorgeous with
a bright blue sky as a background. We don't know how far it flew, as we
lost sight of it. Never did figure out where the 2nd bird flew either.
But, they are out there! We tried for a Gyr as well, but never saw
one.

Hope everyone out birding today enjoyed the sunshine as well as the birds!
