Hi everyone,

This afternoon (Sunday) around 1:30, I came across a Merlin having lunch in the top of a snag tree while driving along West Snoqualmie River Road.? The bird was definitely not a Pacific subspecies as it was lighter in color overall.? It was located between the Carnation Marsh pulloff at the south end of the marsh property and Jubilee Farm in a tree right on the west bank of the Snoqualmie River.? Other raptors seen between Novelty Hill Road and Fall City included multiple Red-tailed Hawks, an adult?Cooper's Hawk and a Bald Eagle.?
