Since I got my woodpecker feeder, no pileateds show up, at least when I
am looking. Its usually the basic orange shafted flicker or starlings at
it looking to be thrown out by a bouncer. There seem to be some crows
very interested in it, though, as they are coming to the trees right by
regulary. Saw one bird at the feeder that may have been a hairy but
never got a good look.

The rest of the feeders are the same old scence Juncos, House and Rosy
finches and the hoards of chickadees. Especially vocal when I am filling
the feeders.

The one box trap feeder (starling proof) still has few visitors, I did
see a shadow today but no clear view. I did put some hass pear slices my
son did not want in, and they are gone now.

But I traveled over to find Carnation Pond, and KC sent me to the wrong
side of the river TG I have 4WD. No one told me rubber boots were
derigure? Or is it all birding from the car? then I went to an old turn
out along the river trail, and it was just a mess of pheasant hunters.

I apparently need a new trail guide my old 1991 guide seems history
now.Whats the guide to get for Seattle and the Puget lowland? Or do I
just need to map out you tweets?
