Saturday Jan 23th, my companion, Sonny Cohen, and I spotted a Yellow-billed
Loon at Point No Point. Around 10:30am we spotted it from the marsh
observation deck near the light house, at which point we proceeded to the
beach to get a better look. There are a good number of common loons in the
area which you can use to help compare features. Look for a bird that has a
clearly paler head without the same contrast of dark to light colors on it's
neck. Also it tends to point it's yellow-ish bill upwards.
