Hi, Tweets, Just thought I'd let you know of another good bird to look
for when you are in Douglas County. We found a Long-tailed Duck at one of
the pull-outs along Hwy. 173 after you cross the Brewster bridge and head
east. This pull-out is just west of mile marker #10, and a piece of pink
flagging tape is tied to a bush. The bird has been seen quite close on
the 29th and 30th, and way out in the middle on the 30th. Usually it is
feeding with a mix of Wigeon, C. Goldeneye, Buffleheads, Horned Grebes and
a few other species. Hope you get to spot this beautiful bird!
