Hi Tweets,
Pretty decent birding around the Edmonds Bowl today (1-31-10). The
large flock of Pine Siskins continued and the first Hooded Mergansers
of the year dropped onto Willow Creek this morning. Brant and both
Goldeneyes could be seen from the waterfront. There was a lot of
bird activity at Point Edwards, despite the presence of the juvenile
Bald Eagle and the Red-tailed Hawk. It quieted down though while the
juvenile Sharp-shinned Hawk perched in the scrub alder. I saw no
Great Blue Herons anywhere today.
