Aloha Frank,
I can highly recommend AviSys Birding software, coupled with Shawneen Finnegan's, Santa Barbrara Worldwide Nation Checklists software you will have everything you will ever need to list just about an permutation of a list you might want to keep and to generate up-to-date checklists for pretty much any area in the world. The latest version is running with the Dec 2009 Clement's taxonomic revisions. I have been using the software for years on a Mac - it runs flawlessly. You will need to install Parrallels Desktop and a version of the windows operating system on your Mac, and then you can switch back and forth from either operating system pretty much seamlessly. I am no fan of the MicroSoft operating system, but there is no other comparable listing software written for a Mac, at least in my personal opinion.
Aloha
Reg.

I'm hoping that someone in the Tweeters community might have a best recommendation for me. I'm starting from scratch, so there's no need to consider transferring from a previous Windows list to a new Mac list.
