Yesterday (7/2) I may have caught?a kingfisher family during a fishing outing. Looking south across the Edmonds marsh from the west end of the boardwalk, I saw what appeared to be two adults making food runs for three juvies.

One adult would perch on the branch of a dead tree while the other was out making a food run.? When it returned with a fish, as many as three of what I believe to be juvies would appear from the bushes behind the tree, sit on one ?of the dead branches, and get fed by the adult. This went on for several minutes.

I was shooting about 300 yards across the marsh with the 400mm end of my 100-400 zoom. All contribution$?toward the purcha$e of?Canon's 800mm?telephoto will be gladly accepted :>)

The spot the kingfishers were at is probably about 400-500 yards from the active burrow?on the bluff south of the Edmonds Off-Leash Dog Beach?that some of us?have been photographingr.??
