Hi all,
?
My partner and I had a nice, but subdued 4th of July weekend in the Okanogan.? I
showed him a few of my favorite backyard haunts/scenery where I explored the
last 4 years. In?return,?we saw?a few fun?birds along the way.? We both agreed
that the Okanogan Highlands was very special.? In addition it finally felt like
SUMMER--at least?for a few days:)
Won?t think I would say this,?but I was a bit burnt out from birding/guiding
here the last several months.?I?birded only a few areas for a short?period and
spent time with some local friends in the Okanogan Highlands. Also, briefly
met?up with Mike Marsh and we did owl a bit with little success but always a fun
person to be with.
?
On a special note: My birding mobile reached its 300,000 mile mark in the
Okanogan Highland.? Yes, I may be going to Carbon Hell for it but at least I am
the?O-Khanh-ogan economic stimuli the past?several years. ?I?wished for a fancy
chicken to commemorate?this feat,?but I got a Clay-colored Sparrow near Molson
as an alternative.? ?Getting a clean video of it singing its low buzzy song was
fun.
A short list but here it is..? More?VIDEOS to come......
