Hello, this is the Audubon Society of Portland Rare Bird Report. This report
was made Thursday July 8. If you have anything to add call Harry Nehls at
503-233-3976.

On July 4 a female CHESTNUT-SIDED WARBLER was at Cape Blanco State Park. A
BLACK-AND-WHITE WARBLER was in Eugene July 7. On June 27 a GREAT-TAILED
GRACKLE was at Cabin Lake.

Fall shorebird migration is now well underway with several reports of
SEMIPALMATED SANDPIPERS being seen.

A juvenile HEERMANN?S GULL was seen July 7 at the mouth of Tenmile Creek in
Coos County. On July 2 a RED-EYED VIREO was in the Carty Unit of Ridgefield
NWR. Others were repaorted from the Sandy River Delta and Scappoose Bottoms.
The Fernhill Wetlands CLARK?S GREBE continues to be seen.

On July 3 a CATBIRD was seen at Lower Bridge west of Terrebonne. A BEWICK?S
WREN is a regular resident there. NORTHERN WATERTHRUSHES and CATBIRDS
continue to be seen along Crescent Creek near Hwy 58. On July 5 a
BLACK-THROATED SPARROW was along Hwy 26 east of Mitchell.
