Hi Tweets...While those of you inland sweltered...or basked...in today's
heat, the cool water and sand gave us ground-level fog on the beach in Ocean
Shores. As I strolled in an area off-limits to motor vehicles, out of the
fog I saw three Brant alight near the waters edge. I could only tell because
I had my binos...the fog was dense. As I watched them walking along the edge
of the water I could see one of them limping, but they flew just fine when
flushed by people walking...startled the people more than the geese.

Later, as I drove east on Marine View Dr I saw a flock of Eurasian
Collared-Doves numbering sixteen, the most I have seen at one time since
they came to town. I also watched one fly into the interior branches in what
I believe to be its nest tree...right on Ocean Shores Blvd near Polaris.
