Hi Tweeters,
I have a nemesis bird story too. I had been birding for a year or two when I was out on a Eastside Audubon field trip and for some reason the conversation was about Brewer's blackbirds. I mentioned that I had not seen one yet. The Leader told me they are common birds easily found in parking lots. She suggested I look in the Costco lot. Well since I work in Kirkland its no problem for me to swing through the Costco lot on my way home. I did so on several occasions and never saw a BRBL. Finally I gave up going to Costco. Eventually I did see several in front of the Pet Smart in Woodinville where employees had put out bird seed in the parking strips.

It seems that the Costco birds have expanded their range because a week or two ago I began to see Brewer's Blackbirds in the Park Place Center lot. Every day when go to my car I see those bright eyed birds and remember how hard I worked to get one on my life list.
