Birders all,

Just back from a visit to the colony and our count today was 2,050 adults and 348 chicks, ranging in age from this week's hatchling's to 4-5 weeks.
Still lots of birds on nests, incubating; although the heat of yesterday and today provide sufficient heat for hatching! I thought for a while that I was going to hatch!!
There could be as many as 200 additional birds of the opposite side of a berm that blocks our view.

Amazing spectacle for the summer of 2010!
