Today Randy Hill and I went to the NE corner of Clark Co to look for hermit warbler we were not successful. We did find a Northern pygmy owl on NE Healy Rd in Clark Co. The bird was on an exposed snag along the road about 100 yds west of the Skamania Co line (where the Nat Forest boundary signs are). We did have a calling sooty grouse just past the same County line and several hermit warblers on road 57 within yards of the intersection of rd 232. There was one male on territory that gave us great views on the road mentioned.
