Hi Tweeters especially you who live in Eastern Washington.
On June 19th I was Birding my way home from Quincy. I stopped at the Ginkgo Petrified Forest near Vantage and while I was walking on the interpretive trail I saw a little lizard maybe five inches long. it scampered along the trail in front of us and when it stopped under a sage brush it allowed us to get very close and watch it for several minutes before scampering off out of sight. I have looked at 1/2 a dozen library books and done searches on the web but have not been able to identify it. it was bright orange below and the orange faded to tan as it moved up his sides the tan coloring was broken up on its back by aqua blue spots. Being so small maybe it was a juvenile and has different coloring than the adults pictures in the lizard books I looked at. Can any one help me out here? I only saw a few birds on the trail and most of them were too far away or too fast for me to identify so I hope I can at least get an identification on the only reptile I saw.

P.S. thought there weren't many birds on the interpretive trail I did see lots of birds on my trip and added four species to my life list.
