Hello, this is the Audubon Society of Portland Rare Bird Report. This report
was made Thursday July 15. If you have anything to add call Harry Nehls at

On July 8 a CALIFORNIA THRASHER was seen in the Rogue Valley along I5 south
of Gold Hill. A HORNED PUFFIN was with TUFTED PUFFINS July 12 near Face Rock
in Bandon. On July 11 a LEAST FLYCATCHER was calling on the east side of
Davis Lake.

Shorebird migrations are still conspicuous with the Central Oregon
Red-necked Phalarope movement now underway. Three SEMIPALMATED SANDPIPERS
were at the Redmond Sewage Ponds July 9. One was at Summer Lake July 11. A
SOLITARY SANDPIPER was at the Tualatin NWR July 14.

HEERMANN?S GULLS are now moving along the coast with 400 at the South Jetty
of the Columbia River by July 12. At least 500 BROWN PELICANS were there
that day. On July 13 a ?yellow-legged? WESTERN GULL was on the North Spit of
Coos Bay.

Two CLARK?S GREBES are still being seen at the Fernhill Wetlands as are
about 16 WHITE PELICANS. On July 13 an early GOLDEN-CROWNED SPARROW was on
Mt. Ashland.

On July 13 a RED-SHOULDERED HAWK was in Malheur NWR at the P Ranch.
