Hi Everyone-



I have been successful in identifying almost all of my African bird
pictures. However, there are still a couple I can't get. I would
appreciate any help anyone can give me in identifying these. Shutterfly link
is below.



Unknown-chat.jpg - all black with apparent white spot. Seems more upright
than black boubous I saw. Is it an anteater chat? Something else? The
picture was from Maasai Mara in Kenya.



Unknown-weaver.jpg - Pretty generic looking weaver. Picture was taken at
the Southern Serengeti entrance station in Tanzania. It was drinking from a
small man made water fountain at the picnic area.



Unknown-francolin.jpg - We saw a number of different francolins. This one
does not appear to have the colored throat patch of most. Is it a young
bird, or some other species? The picture was taken in Maasai Mara in Kenya.



Unknown-finch.jpg - There were two of these at the same water fountain as
the weaver (this was a great birding area by the way). Both had the small
white patches (almost like wattles) on the corner of the mouth and the
darker coloring between the eye and the bill. They appeared to hang out
with black-faced waxbills. It seems that this should be an easy one, but I
can't find anything like it in my Birds of East Africa book.
