Subject: [Tweeters] Kayak around Union Bay
Date: Jul 21 15:35:02 2010
From: Connie Sidles - constancesidles at gmail.com
Hey tweets, the UW Botanic Gardens is offering guided kayak tours
around Foster Island and the Arboretum for anyone who is interested.
See the information below. The tours do cost a bit, but the price is
offset by sponsorships.
In other news, the Fill has been its usual ethereally beautiful self
lately. The morning light, with fog lifting as the sun rises or the
low clouds disappear, has been especially wonderful. Shorebirds are
coming through in small numbers - Leasts mostly, but anything is
possible. The mud at Shoveler's Pond is excellent - best in years -
and Main Pond is also enticing (to a shorebird). Baby Virginia Rails
were running around near Main Pond this morning - three adorable black
fuzzballs on stilts. - Connie, Seattle

Connie,
I thought you and some of your fellow birders might be interested in
attending one of our upcoming kayak tours. We specifically decided to
do 2 early morning times this year to appeal to the birders. It would
be great if you could put information on this event on tweeters and
I?ll put up a flyer on the kiosk.
