I'll chime in too.? I have seen and heard the Bobwhites at Wier Prairie , south Ft. Lewis, but not in the past few years.? I think they are thinning out.?

But my daughter has 5 acres in rural Kitsap County just north of Bremerton and she has heard them 2 or three times there this Spring.? She grew up in Bobwhite country, so she knows their sound.

I'm hearing a very strange bird on my property this morning.? It sounds like a Bobwhite!? Okay, since Bobwhites are eastern USA birds, what bird around here would sound like a Bobwhite? Could it be a quail with a "bad cold" or something?
