Subject: [Tweeters] Ruddy Turnstone - Rhinoceros Auklets at Pt. Hudson


A Ruddy Turnstone in breeding plumage flew on to the end of the Port Hudson marina breakwater in Port Townsend this evening and settled in with a number of Black Turnstones that have been here for a week or so. We saw one Ruddy last fall for a few days and wonder if this is a returnee? The Rhinos have been feeding heavily at the mouth of the marina most days with best fishing results seeming to be just before high tide. A great opportunity for photographers if the Sand Lances are in that day.
