Hello Tweeters.

Carol Riddell spent 2 days on the coast,visiting Ocean Shores and today
Tokeland.We intended to find some of the Shorebirds back,what I found the
other day,short to tell we had 10 species of Shorebirds,Carol will write the
detail on this trip.

Today our last sighting in Tokeland was a single female Purple
Martin.Earlier in the year I found a single male sitting on one of the
newest Nesting Box,after some one stole the original Boxes what Patrick and
Sam Agnew installed at the Tokeland Marina in spring 2007.There nested
s\successful than.
Today I checked if there are nesting,in the second Box where the old tire
is still there,I knocked on the pole ,and in a second the female flew close
over my head making loud calls,and surround me in a circle, calling
alarming loud calls. I stepped away from the pole and she disappeared
,presuming either she is still sitting on Eggs ,since I heard no sound
coming from the Box.
I plead if any birder is going now since Fall Migration started to
looking if there hear ore seeing any Martin's flying around, It is
impossible that I can do this alone,and write something up what there
observing to tweeters ore Privately to me.To getting this Martin to nest on
the Coast is so rare
We had no Shorebirds in Tokeland ,since the tide was to high.We had
together a great time ,and we added one more Shorebird to our Fall Sighting.
Carroll also saw she think was a male sitting on wires close to the Marina
