Birders all,

As of last evening, the Bellingham colony has possibly peaked (?) with a count of 3,020 adults and as many as 800 chicks, varying in ages from 1-2 days old to 5-6 weeks.
Some of the first chicks on the site have fledged and have been observed following adults on foraging/begging flights.

There is still and endless stream of birds heading to and from the colony throughout the day and well within view for anyone/everyone from many locations in Bellingham.

It's amazingly chaotic at the site!

Caspian cheers,
Joe Meche
