Subject: [Tweeters] Western Kingbirds in West Seattle

Tweeters,

Yesterday what I took to be a Western Kingbird perched briefly in one of the
trees a few feet from my office window, then jumped up and flew off with
another bird that flew by. Heading south, if that means anything. I got
binos on the perched bird briefly -- size a little smaller than a robin,
yellow wash on stomach, dark back, dark bill.I didn't get a good look at the
second bird, but its size, shape, and flight pattern was the same as the
first. (My office is near Delridge and Spokane streets in a little "office
park" setting with lots of open space, albeit industrial/commercial in
ambience.)

How common are they in Seattle? Would they already be migrating?

Thanks, and good birding to you all
