hi all ... very interesting watching a Western Wood-Pewee yesterday
... we had one move into the back yard a week ago ... yesterday
morning at 9:00 we noticed him at his favorite branch, enjoying
flicking back and forth for breakfast ... well, all day long no
matter when we checked he was STILL GATHERING BUGS !!! ... I did
notice that when the sun was out he abandoned his favorite perch and
moved to one in the shade ... more bugs in the shade ??? ... by 9:00
last night he had moved to his "evening spot" along the house dog
fence and was still hunting bugs ... that's 12 hours of bug eating ...
